Contact us without reinstalling the game

Email [email protected] with the subject “Ultimate Chess League account deletion”. Include your game username and, if you registered, send the request from the email address associated with the account.

If you used a guest account or cannot access your account email, explain that in your message. We need a verified way to establish account ownership before acting. Do not send a password, access token, full purchase receipt or payment-card details.

What happens to information

A deletion is held for 14 days before it becomes permanent, and signing in again during that time cancels it and keeps the account; for a guest account, which has no password to sign in with, the cancel is a button in the game's account settings instead. Nothing is removed until the 14 days are up. After that, the deletion runs as a single operation: your username, email address, password hash and store-purchase binding token are destroyed, the records that belong only to you are deleted, the copies of your name stored alongside games and invitations are removed, and you are signed out everywhere. Finished games are kept without your name attached, because they are also the record of the players you played against.

A small number of records are kept for a stated period and a stated reason — security, advertising-fraud, moderation and financial records, service logs and backups — and are then deleted or permanently disconnected from the account. A few others keep the account identifier with no end date: the ledger of what was granted to and revoked from the account, anti-fraud evidence, and the record of administrative actions taken on the account. None of them holds your name, your email address or any other way of contacting you — the copy of your username stored alongside an administrative record is removed when the account is deleted, including on the records we write when we carry out a request made by email. If you ever bought anything the ledger also keeps a reference to the store transaction. The Privacy Policy lists each one, how long it is kept and why.

For a request made here, the ownership check, who is authorised to act on it, and the acknowledgement and completion emails are not yet in place, and a mailbox link alone does not mean that they are. We have not yet set our own, shorter targets for acknowledging and completing a request; the response time stated in our Privacy Policy applies.

Purchases, subscriptions and local data

Account deletion can remove access to your game entitlements. It does not automatically cancel an Apple or Google subscription or request a refund. Manage those through your store account. Uninstalling the game does not delete the server account, and server deletion does not by itself remove all files on your device.

Deleting from inside the game

The game also provides account deletion from the game's account settings, which needs no email. The entry point and its confirmation flow have been built but have not yet been tested end to end against the live service. The email route above does not depend on it.
